Next Event:
E-Bike Safety and Policy

Join the ITE SF Bay Area Section and hear from Dr. Asha Weinstein Agrawal and Dr. Kevin Fang present two related elements of their research into e-bike safety and policy.

The first project explores e-bike injuries in the United States from 2020-2022, analyzing injuries documented in the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS), a database tracking emergency room visits at 96 hospitals nationwide. The second project reviews how e-bikes are defined and regulated in state law across all 50 states. Both projects place e-bike safety into context through comparisons to other modes, including electric scooters and pedal bicycles.
