The Silver ranking as a Military Friendly school places UT among the nation’s leading institutions for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for those who have served.
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will recommend a zero tuition increase for undergraduate students as part of its $2.37 billion budget. The budget will go before the UT System Board of Trustees for final approval in June.
Seventeen cadets will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force following the university’s May 16 graduation ceremony.
Leaders gathered April 24 to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Student Success Building, which will serve as a central hub connecting students to resources that support their academic achievement and career readiness. The building is expected to open in fall 2027.
At the celebration, guests had the opportunity to explore exhibits showcasing successful research projects. Experts from Volkswagen and UT were on hand to highlight innovative technologies such as recycled composites, paper-based composites and high-speed wireless charging.
A delegation from Arizona State University, led by President Michael Crow, joined leadership at UT to celebrate their recent partnership, which aims to expand access to more academic programs through online learning while advancing the economic vitality of their respective states.
