But we really recommend you upgrade and we'll show you if you'll scroll down this page. Old browsers are vulnerable to hacks and spyware, and of course, they also don't give you the great web experience that a modern browser will.

Here are some options, in the order that we recommend. They are all fast, fully up-to-date web browsers that can even run on Windows XP and on Windows Vista, and they are completely free. Each of them releases an updated version every few weeks, and once you have installed the browser, it will update itself for new releases.

Each of these links will take you to the official download site for the browser. For your safety, you should only download and install your new browser from the official manufacturer's site.

Download Instructions

There are download and installation instructions on each site. You CAN have several web browsers on your computer, and you can switch back and forth between them. When it asks if it should install an icon (shortcut) on your desktop, say "yes" so you can easily find it.
