Little Krishna was most infamous for his pranks and unending mischief with the Gopis and Brajbalas. As a child, He would go to any lengths to get his hands (and teeth!) into the delicious fresh butter churned out by His foster mother, Yashoda and the other Gopis around. He would then slip out of notice and feign complete innocence if ever caught stealing butter from someone's house. Once, Yashoda caught him and tied Him to a pillar. But He managed to escape that by melting Yashoda's heart with his sweet, toothless smile! At another time, Krishna managed to break into a Gopi's house and, along with His friends, created a human pyramid, climbed to a height and finally got his hands on the pot of butter hanging from the ceiling!
The poster shown here is a brilliant depiction of the little Bala Gopala stealing butter. He glances around and makes sure there is no one in the vicinity. He then tilts the pot of butter and plans to empty it all within just a few seconds!
