Are you buying the Kindle Colorsoft or are its recent issues pushing you to Kobo?

E Ink displays have been available in the consumer market for a number of years now, and their distinct properties have never ceased to amaze me. The display technology offers a near-flawless digital approximation of physical paper, all while consuming minimal energy and offering excellent outdoor visibility in the process.  E Ink technology has made itself at home in a number of places, from the shelf tags at your local big box retailer, to those airport flight information panels we all know and love. Of course, the biggest E Ink niche of them all is within the e-reader space. In recent years, a new variant has hit the market -- color E Ink -- which promises to marry the benefits of a lively color palette with the paper-like experience that only E Ink can provide. Black Ops 6 sets new records for GamePass, Steam, and more

Excitement couldn't have been higher for Black Ops 6, which was released last week and immediately set new day one and opening weekend sales records on both PlayStation and Steam, which saw sales jump 60% when compared with last year's Modern Warfare III. In addition, the game's day-one launch on Xbox Game Pass led the subscription service to its biggest single day of new signups, ever.  This success for Game Pass specifically comes at a critical time as subscriptions have been floundering and the longevity of the service has been called into question in recent months, especially as Sony continues to increase its lead in the console wars.  You can check out Pocket-Lint's review of Black Ops 6 at the link, and then let us know what you think of this new title in the comments below! Have you been playing? If so, what console are you playing on?

How comfortable are you with speaking to AI assistants in public?

With the release of Siri in 2011's iPhone 4S, Apple played a key role in ushering in the era of AI digital smart assistants. Not long after, we saw Amazon, Google, and Microsoft enter the arena with competitors in the form of Alexa, Google Assistant, and Cortana, respectively. At the time, the vision seemed clear: voice dictation was to be the future of computing. However, this didn't quite pan out. Users have been reluctant to speak to their electronic devices, particularly when out-and-about and in public settings. These AI assistants later found their niche in the form of at-home smart speaker and smart display products, with users appreciating the ability to set timers and turn on lights in a hand-free capacity. For better or worse, voice dictation and its potential applications appear to be hampered by human psychology, as much as by technological limitations. Reports indicate that despite Alexa now being in millions of homes, Amazon has no profit timeline and that it has lost b
