MoreWill Disney's acquisition of Fubo TV make streaming worse?
When it comes to media mergers and acquisitions, the end result is typically bad for the consumer. When Warner Bros. Discovery dissolved its individual business segments and streamers to create Max, prices rose, content disappeared, and subscribers were left disappointed with a franken-product that was far, far less than the sum of its parts (RIP HBO Go). It's hard not to feel a little similar about today's acquisition of Fubo TV by Disney. While the companies will operate independently for now, it's not hard to imagine a future where Fubo TV, Hulu with Live TV, ESPN+ and Disney+ all combine to become one product, similar to Max, which will naturally be insanely expensive and only have about a third of what you want to watch at any given time. The only silver lining here is for sports fans, who may just get their wish for kitchen-sink sports streamer Venu, which has been cleared to move forward that Fubo TV's lawsuit has effectively ended. What are you most excited to see at CES 2025?
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is an annual trade show event that takes place each and every January. Over the years, the show has played host to many notable tech products, both in experimental and ready-to-ship capacities. With 2025 now having kicked off in earnest, big-name brands from across the globe are congregating in one central location: Las Vegas. CES 2025 is set to take place from Tuesday, January 7, through Friday, January 10. This multi-day showcase will undoubtedly be filled with press briefings, product demonstrations, and, naturally, a great deal of media presence. Ahead of its official street date, a number of consumer tech products from within the CES sphere of influence have already been uncovered or pre-announced. These include an all-new LG projector with a novel floor lamp design, a 27-inch 4K OLED Samsung gaming monitor, as well as an uber-affordable duo of smartphones from HMD. For CES 2025, which tech products are you personally most excited to see the
It's 2025. When will GTA VI be released?
When you look at the 2025 games release calendar, you see a lot of TBA, with major titles like Ghost of Yōtei, Borderlands 4, and Death Stranding 2 all curiously lacking a release date. And that's no accident, as every video game maker on planet Earth doesn't want to confirm their release date now, only to accidentally go up against what will surely be the biggest-selling game of the generation: GTA 6. While Rockstar hasn't said anything just yet about when we can expect this game to finally be released, rumors are already flying, especially with many talking about the other big release of the year, the Nintendo Switch 2. With that in mind, I'd love to know what you think: When will GTA 6 actually hit store shelves?
